PAGE PARK BC BOWLS COACHING COURSE – APRIL/MAY/JUNE 2018
We will be operating another course for those wishing to take up the sport of bowls. The course of 6 weeks tuition by experienced bowlers under the direction of coaches trained by Bowls England seeks to enable anyone to develop so that they are able to take part in a bowls match. This does of course depend upon the commitment and ability to learn of the individual student. Last year we trained 17 persons many of whom decided to take up the sport and join a club.
This is a course for persons of any age (over 12 years). It begins on Saturday, 28th April and continues for the following 6 weeks, with an additional seventh week should the students request this to help with a specific aspect. Each session is for 2 hours from 10.00 to 12 noon. Should there be the demand, we are willing to also do a course on a Friday evening from 6.00 to 8.00 pm. Beginning on 27th April.
Page Park Bowls Club will provide all the items of equipment required, but students should bring their own footware, which MUST BE FLAT SOLED -
There is a registration fee of £5.00 and each session a charge of £2.50 is made. Written material about the rules and the etiquette of playing bowls will be provided.
